Volée is the outcome of reflection on evolution in life and work styles and, as a consequence, on the changing use of dedicatedtools, from furnishings through to the lighting and accessories currently featured in workplaces. Volée switches onwith an almost tennis-style gesture: a simple wave of the hand under the head of this lamp activates an electronic device thatswitches the light on or off without any contact, while a touch sensor over the head allows the flow of light to be regulated tothree different levels of intensity. A new-gen LED board generates a soft adjustable light that spreads through our hands and onto the work surface, ensuringgreat visual comfort. A Time Out system automatically switches the lamp off after it has been on for 5 hours.The tension for the hidden-spring balancing mechanisms is provided by steel wires coated in a colored polymer that gives thislamp sophisticated furnishing accessory style. Alternating rationality and form, cylinders and spherical sections carved out byflat surfaces and soft curves are characteristics that make this lamp suitable for any setting, with all the understatement andpracticality typical of work tools while adding a pleasing little decorative accent.
